Bean Boots for the first time in German fashion magazine

So Bean Boots finally made their way to Germany.

In the Winter issue of German InStyle Men I noticed a feature about Duck Boots including L.L.Bean's Bean Boots (they look kind of dated if you take a closer look at the rubber chain-tread bottom).

I wasn't aware that there are so many knock-offs on the market.

Sorel and Lacrosse come pretty close to the original.

I wonder when I'll se the first fashion victims wearing Bean Boots here in Ddorf.

Bean Boots: Eyelet quality issue?

Today we had our first St. Martin's Parade with my wife and our two kids. Their selfmade lanterns were so very nice!

When I got dressed against the cold, I noticed, that there's a difference concerning the eyelets of my 2 pairs of Bean Boots.

The eyelets of the first pair I bought in 2012 are 2 piece solids. The kind of those you press together with a special plier.

But the eyelets of my seconds pair (Thinsulated), ordered this year, seem to be a one piece with folded down edges.

I am not sure if this is a quality issue, but I don't like the look.

Sent for free, as you can imagine.
