Finally: My new vintage Barbour Beaufort!

Since yesterday, I'm the proud owner of a new vintage Barbour Beaufort.

I've found it on German Ebay nearly flawless (only a minor job on the main zipper needed to be done by a small turkish tailor yesterday) for 100 Euros.

The fit of a C 42 is perfect for me now, as my old Beaufort comes with a C 48 (as you know from this post).

So, I'm a happy guy today :-)

I've already ordered a vintage pop-in lining from Ebay.co.uk, that will arrive in the next couple of days.

No rips, no holes. Perfect condition!

Green is the colour. Bad BlackBerry cam...

Denim in the office for the first time since ages!

Underneath a dark brown new wool sweater with much less pilling than it appears.

First day to wear my Barbour Liddesdale. 12°C. And it's getting colder...

A new/old Barbour Beaufort!

As you know from an older post, my good old Barbour is 

a) torn and ragged 

and 

b) not my size (C 48 instead of C 42 thanks to the stupid salesman back in the 80's).

So I decided, right time for Autumn, to check Ebay for a proper replacement.

Tomorrow's gonna be my big day, as I'll pick up my vintage Beaufort at the seller's home in Mönchengladbach.

I've found this (I hope so!) treasure for 100 Euros, which is quite a fortune for an old jacket but on the other hand, you can't buy this jacket in the stores anymore.

I prefer the old tartan lining and the absence of the show-off stitching on the flap of the left pocket.

I'm excited!
