some of you may wonder, why I do not post on a regular basis anymore.

Well, as online traffic comes more and more from mobile devices, a blog seems kind of out of date to me.

In addition to that, I do post on a daily basis on Instagram, as it is much easier to use and gives me a direct response from and conversation with my followers.

So here are some impressions of my summer holidays in Tegernsee at Tegernsee Lake in Bavaria:

Tomorrow we will be back in D-Town.

Back in Bavaria.

I'm off for two weeks spending my holidays again in Bavaria in Tegernsee at Tegernsee lake (as you might know from previous posts).

Time for country clothes mainly in brown and green. So I go for corduroy, wool vests with staghorn buttons and Haferlschuhe (traditional Bavarian shoes). Hat and Lederhosen are mandatory.

The weather is not as good as expected with top temperatures around 16°C and sometimes rain. But it will get better the next couple of days.

Waldfest Tegernseer Gebirgsschützen

Dear readers,

if you're not from Germany, the first thing that comes into your mind thinking about Germany surely is Lederhosen. You'll find them in Bavaria, my second destination this summer.

In the lovely village of Tegernsee (located at lake Tegernsee) it's no big deal to see people wearing traditional costume, called Tracht, because Bavarians commonly emphasize pride in their traditions. I also got a Tracht, but that's a different story.

The complete Tracht is worn on special occasions, like the Waldfest of Tegernseer Gebirgsschützen.

Here are a few impressions.
