Seiko 5 automatic vs. Rolex Submariner.

I really like my new Seiko 5 very much. The face is very pretty as numbers and hands are quite elegant. And it did a great job on Elba, even if this model isn't waterproof and not suitable for water sports. But you don't have to be very careful in daily use.

But is it ok to like a watch that costs 80 Euros as much as a watch that costs 55 times more?

Yes, I guess it is.

Nice watch for my summer holidays: Seiko 5 Automatic with Nato strap.

80 Euros! In your face!

My latest choice for my holidays on Elba (Italy): The Seiko 5 automatic.

I needed a watch which I do not have to care about on the beach, in crowded areas, etc.

It's smaller than my main watch, but still it doesn't look tiny or even cheap.

I've ordered more Nato straps, as the size you need on this watch is 18 mm (my main watch needs a 20 mm strap).

First I decided to go for a Timex Weekender, but then I went for an automatic watch.

What do you think?
