Visiting Kettwig.

690 Euros? Get off me!

On sunday, we took a trip to Kettwig, the largest district of Essen, known for its romantic little alleys and its half-timber houses. A pretty nice place to spend some time, watching the river Ruhr flow and eating popsicles.

Kinda strange, two local art shops seem to have a special interest in tiny nude comic-like miniatures.

Dear readers,

after spending too many hours in the office, I spent my lunchbreak today with a well known fella: Spoozy of Kleidsam.

We didn't really know where to go. Just floating with the crowd, enjoying the warm sun. Kö, Altstadt, Rhine and back.

What a great day to be in the streets of D-Town.

And what a nightmare to have to go back to the office!

On the street: The knitting beggar.

This guy is one of a kind. You'll meet him everytime you take a walk on Königsallee. Sitting on the ground, dressed in rags and knitting sweaters, cardigans or scarfs.

When you take a closer look at the picture you will notice that he wears a few different layers, all knitted by himself. Another way of bespoke tailoring.

Are you able to make your own clothes? Of course not, 'cause you don't have to. But could you, if you'd have to?
