In Cologne: Impressions of GamesCom
Dear readers,
as this week was very busy for me, I was often forced to cancel my lunch break. And that's the reason why I can't provide some nice pictures of well dressed people.
On Thursday, I spent my time for business reasons at the world's largest trade fair for interactive games and entertainment, GamesCom in Cologne.
It's kind of weird, to see people dressed like game characters. Or to think about how one can be lost in the game's levels and lives a lonely life in the real world.

Store check: Uwe van Afferden
I noticed this shop in the latest issue of GQ, so I wanted to check it out by myself.
Located on Lorettostraße, this "concept store" is a fusion of fashion, illustrations, art, interieur, etc.
By the way: Uwe van Afferden offers his own Tweed collection.

Store check: Bienemann Shoemaker
First of all, please welcome my new reader prismAffaires!
Today's store check is about my favorite shoemaker in Düsseldorf: Ralf Bienemann.
Located on Luegalle in Düsseldorf's haute volée district Oberkassel, Ralf Bienemann's shop provides a large variety of marvelous shoes from van Bommel to Heinrich Dinkelacker and offers the best job in shoe repair I've ever seen.
I first encountered his shop in 1998 by chance, as it was located close to the agency I was working for at that time. Since then he did a great job on many of my lace ups.
