Kilim slippers.

I've learned a few days ago, this design is called Kilim.
Available at Shipton & Heneage.

  1. Beautiful slippers, I have no idea some one is making slippers out of Kilim. In case you don't know, "Kilim" is a flat weave hand-knotted rug that is usually made in Afghanistan and Iran. Afghan make some beautiful Kilim. A good Kilim costs almost the same as a hand-knotted Persian rug. :)

  2. I read that the pattern is of Turkish origin, but it also reminds me a bit of Navajo blankets:

    Have you bought a pair?

  3. @PC: No, that's new to me. Thanks for sharing!

@LSS: I've seen some slippers like these in a magazine. Then checked the internet. And here there are. But I don't own a pair. First I would go for velvet slippers, like in one of my earlier posts.
